ACE Entry Summary Software Improves Speed and Accuracy of U.S. Customs Filings Submitting Entry, Entry Summary and PGA data
Descartes OneView™ CHB is an enterprise-level application that improves the speed and accuracy of submitting entry and Partner Government Agency (PGA) data to the CBP ACE system-of-record. Using the solution, organizations can receive and react to responses and customs status messages by exception, and automatic notifications of rejections, intensive exams, requests for electronic invoices, Temporary Importation Bonds (TIBs) expiration notices and more.
Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
ACE is the U.S. government’s single window to trade that enables businesses to better communicate to CBP and PGAs through a centralized platform. CBP announced that select entries and entry summaries are required through ACE beginning March 31, 2016. This includes Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) for Lacey Act compliance and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) data associated with the required ACE entry filings.
CBP recently issued a notice that states that filers should submit all available electronic entries and entry summaries, with or without Partner Government Agency (PGA) data, in ACE. The notice also clarified that, in short, the only entries permitted to be filed in the legacy Automated Commercial System (ACS) are quota entries, and those with PGA requirements other than NHTSA and Lacey Act obligations.
