How does your typical workday at Descartes contribute to the success of your customers?
A typical day involves advocating for existing Descartes customers by educating them on new features and functionalities to maximize the value of our routing, mobile, and telematics solutions. Additionally, I engage with potential clients to demonstrate how our solutions can enhance the performance of their final mile distribution networks.
How do you collaborate with cross-functional teams to support success through all stages of the customer's journey?
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial. I work with teams such as professional services during project kick-offs and customer implementations, and I collaborate with product management to identify beneficial enhancements. I maintain involvement post-go-live to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction, facilitating interactions with our support organization to address their needs effectively.
What do you see as the biggest challenges or opportunities facing the industry? How is Descartes positioned to address them and capitalize on emerging opportunities?
One of the main challenges is the driver shortage. Descartes helps companies optimize their route planning, enabling them to perform more deliveries with the same or fewer drivers. Our solutions help to improve driver productivity, reduce stress, and enhance retention through feasible routes, advanced navigation, safety training, and automation.
